Alternate crops such as pea hay can be grown in our heavier soil, higher rainfall farmland near Adams.  Annual cropping is not unusual in this area.

Primarily soft-white wheat is grown on Bracher Farms.  The new varieties allow us to produce grain in areas from 7-20 inch annual rainfall.

Soft white wheat is transported from the farm to our local co-op elevator on the Columbia River at McNary.
